because if that’s Legolas he doesn’t know it yet but that’s Gimli’s father

and Gimli isn’t even a little dwarvish twinkle in his parent’s eyes but omfg he and Legolas are going to be like brothers only closer

and they’re going to fight side by side at Helm’s Deep and at Pelennor Fields and Morannon and then when the war is done they’re going to travel across Middle-Earth together

and then when Legolas sails to Valinor Gimli is going to come with him and they’re best friends forever

but omfg Legolas just has no idea

and i’m having a lot of feels
