I don’t know if I’m going to get into the Star Trek fandom after this movie. I’ve see a few of them before and I they were cool, but you never really know until you see something if you’re going to get really into it or just kind of appreciate it and move on.
Either way, it warned my heart to see this post, from someone who finally “gets it” and isn’t being elitist, who instead is willing to welcome anyone who will stay to enjoy something with them.
It’s classy. Seeing this movie won’t make everyone an automatic Star Trek fan, but it will open the door for the people who really want to get into it and stay.

The first teaser poster for Star Trek Into Darkness is here - and Benedict Cumberbatch’s unnamed villain is front and centre, standing before the burning cityscape of a futuristic London - mixed into the large number of science fiction skyscrapers are existing iconic landmarks including The London Eye and The Gherkin.
I’m not sure this poster is gritty enough
