Don’t leave my hyper heart alone on the water
Cover me in rag and bone, sympathy
‘Cause I don’t want to get over you
I don’t want to get over you
“Sorrow” - The National (x)
Just watched The Idiot’s Lantern, one of my favorite S2 episodes.
I still can’t get over how in awe of Rose the Doctor looks at the end, when she tells Tommy to go after his dad. Like, he’s been around so long and knows so much, and yet Rose is wiser in some ways that anybody will ever give her credit for, and he’s so painfully, obviously in love with her.
RIGOROUS SCHOLARSHIP YO!
#you may be interested to note #that Ten’s S3 ties were largely floral #mostly with Roses #and the occasional lesser flower #and I’m not saying that the Doctor stood in front of his closet every morning #clutching and stroking a certain purple shirt #and then made the conscious decision to honor his lost love with a tie but… #oh wait #that is what I’m saying #nm #doctor who #tenth doctor #and the feelbad tie rainbow
im going to die

When he refers to his relationship with Rose, that’s something very tangible, very real, and something that he absolutely will always believe in.

holy fucking jesus.
Try to tell me he didn’t love her. Just try. I dare you.
